Background
GitFoundry is a design and development studio. We have spent years working in software and digital design. This studio exists to apply that experience to something that matters: giving startup founders the web presence their company deserves, without making them dependent on a platform, a subscription, or us. We have built sites across multiple projects — every one is still live, still fast, and still owned entirely by the person who commissioned it.
GitFoundry grew out of a straightforward observation. The founders we know can raise, sell, hire, and ship — but they cannot code. And everywhere we looked, the same pattern: founders paying agencies £5,000 for something they'd never truly own, or settling for a page builder that looks like every other startup's site. We wanted to offer something different: the craft of a proper build, with full ownership at the end, and no dependency on anyone.
Why this
There is no shortage of people who will build a website. Agencies, freelancers, page builders, AI tools. Most of them work. Most of them also hold something back — the code lives on their servers, the design is locked in their system, the relationship ends when the invoice clears.
What we offer is the alternative: a site designed from scratch for your company, handed to you in full, with an optional Partnership that keeps it moving as the company grows. You can leave whenever you like and take everything with you. That's what ownership means to us.

It means every site is leaner, faster, and more reliable than anything a platform produces.

The build
Designed for your company, not a template
Every project starts with a short conversation about who you're building for and why it matters. Then we design and build from scratch, without themes or drag-and-drop builders.
The handover
Full source code, not just a live URL
You receive the complete repository: every file, every commit. You can take it to another developer, edit it yourself, or simply leave it running on GitHub Pages indefinitely. There is no ongoing dependency on us. That's the point.
The relationship
You deal directly with the person designing and building your site
No account managers, no agency layers, no handoffs to a junior. When you ask a question, you get an answer from the person who actually built your site. That keeps decisions fast, communication honest, and quality consistent.
